Dr. Ashley Burgos looked at every dog supplement on the market. She wouldn't give any of them to her dogs
Ashley is a veterinarian with 16+ years of clinical experience, including wellness and preventive care, as well as emergency medicine in a specialty care setting. She is also a mom of two, with two dogs of her own.
Most nights, she is cooking for her kids. And makes just a little extra for her dogs, because the standard she holds for her human family is the same standard she holds for the canine members. Then she mixes in supplements she compounded herself, by hand, from human-grade ingredients, because she could not find a single product on the market she fully trusted.
She did it because she had to. After attending graduate level training in integrative medicine and post graduate continuing education in nutrition, and consulting with board certified veterinary nutritionists, she understood what best support's the dog's body over time.

Pet parents asked the same question every single day
Which food? Which chew? Which supplement? What is actually good? What is just marketing?
Every day, the same question. Every day, the same honest answer: most of what is on the shelf is not built to a standard worth buying. Built around cost and convenience, the bulk of available products only look like quality, not made to actually deliver it.
That gap, between what pet parents wanted and what was actually available, is what Futureproof Pet was built to close.
Katie Hammond did everything right, yet she still couldn’t find what she needed.
For years, she approached her dogs care the same way she approached her own: organic food, a low-tox home, and a deep commitment to long-term health.
When her chihuahua's Tucker and Tobbie got sick, that commitment intensified. She explored everything from laser therapy to red light therapy and advanced treatments, searching for ways to support them beyond conventional care.
But a daily supplement she actually trusted? There was nothing.
Nothing truly organic. Nothing comprehensive. And everything else meant managing 10 to 15 separate powders, oils, and tinctures which is not realistic and certainly not something most little dogs would actually take.
She wanted something simple, clean, and complete enough to give every single day. It didn't exist.
So she built it.
When Tucker passed in 2021, Katie couldn't shake the feeling that there should have been something better, not just for him, not just for Tobbie, but for every dog.
The idea sat in the back of her mind for years, until she met Dr. Ashley Burgos in 2024 and all the pieces clicked into place. They had both faced the same problem from different angles. The conviction was already shared.
Futureproof was born out of necessity. A commitment to never settle. A relentless pursuit of better science, better standards, and better solutions for the pets we love.
